Description:
Fun. That's what you get when you take an overnight
bicycle tour. First-class lodging and dining,
top-quality rental equipment, full van support,
regional expertise and outstanding service all
combine to give you an active, scenic and care-free
vacation.
The Sunday to Friday Central California Coast
bicycle tour, offered by Bicycle Adventures,
is offered six times a year and includes biking,
hiking, Hearst Castle, wine tasting, fine meals,
great bicycles, plus full van following and
support. This group starts in San Luis Obispo and
finishes in Santa Barbara.
The pace of the tour can be tailored to all
levels. Days typically start with breakfast at 8
a.m., followed by a review of the planned routes
and places of interest along the way. Guests
generally leave the previous night's lodging
between 9 and 10 a.m., after placing their luggage
in the van so it can be taken to the next inn.
Other choices of tours are available.
The California Wine Country bike trips, offered
by Discovery Bicycle Tours, are 6-day
5-night adventures led by experienced guides
through Healdsburg, Geyersville, Santa Rosa,
Occidental and Bodega Bay. Some meals are included
at lovely inns. The ride through Sonoma County
offers views of vineyards, towering redwoods, the
Russian River Valley, and the blue, blue ocean ...
a sensation-filled experience.
